challenge 13

call him

This challenges picture is a close up of a telephone keypad and it urges us to ‘phone that evil’. Looking at the page source we will see that it actually says to ‘phone that <remote /> evil’. This makes a little more sense after clicking the link on the 5 key of the picture which goes to a phonebook.php address and returns a xml error. We know from the previous challenge who the evil ‘him’ we are supposed to call, and from this one that we are to ‘phone’ him. It is then only a matter of figuring out how xmlrpc works. With ruby it works like this;

#!/usr/bin/ruby
require 'xmlrpc/client'
server = XMLRPC::Client.new2("http://www.pythonchallenge.com/pc/phonebook.php")
puts server.call("phone", "Bert")

Next: python challenge 14; walk around
